Varsity Letter Requirements

The class of 2018 and beyond will follow the requirements outlined below. Points are tallied at the end of each school year. They accumulate from prior high school year(s), and once a student earns the necessary amount of points he or she is honored with a Band Varsity Letter in May that year.

A Varsity letter is for participation in activities around band; it has no bearing on letter grade for class. Class grade is an evaluation of your music skills. A varsity letter is a reflection of your hours of commitment given to the organization.

Musicians must accumulate 5.0 points to letter; color guard 2 points.
