Revere Marching Minutemen Band
The Revere Marching Minutemen Band provides music for community parades and all Revere High School football games. The marching band competes in Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) sanctioned competition events. Revere also hosts the Revere Marching Band Invitational in early October each year.
Each season begins in the summer with Band Camp where new band and flag line members are welcomed and new music and drills are learned. The marching season ends in November with the Bands in the Round program which showcases our elementary through high school bands.
Revere Symphonic Band
The Revere High School Symphonic Band (Concert Band) is designed for instrumental music students who wish to participate in instrumental music in a variety of performance mediums. The two trimesters will consist of concert band and small ensembles. Students will review and improve basic instrumental technique through study and quality band literature. Students will perform in large group forum and small group genre: woodwind choir, brass choir, percussion ensemble, and jazz band
Basketball Pep Band
The Pep band plays at all home boys’ basketball games. The pep band performs music from the football season as well as favorites from years past.
Jazz Band
The Jazz Band performs at winter and spring Concerts.
Musical Pit Orchestra
Band members play a supporting role for the Revere Players in the pit orchestra for the school musical each spring. Past performances include 42nd Street, Joseph and his Amazing Colored Dream-coat, Bye, Bye Birdie, Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes, My Fair Lady, Once Upon a Mattress, Crazy for You, and The Music Man.
Solo and Ensemble Contest
Members of the Symphonic band participate in the OMEA Solo and Ensemble competition each year.
The Revere band program is supported by the Revere Music Parents Association which provides chaperones, equipment transport, and other services necessary to keep the program top notch.
